
Sumptuous Breakfast:
Our sun drenched dining room and wafting aromas will welcome you to a sumptuous full breakfast. We will begin serving our first course at 9:00 am. Greet another beautiful Duluth day with delicious food and great company!
Evening Wine Hour:
We welcome you to join your fellow guests each evening from 5 to 7 for a complimentary glass of wine by the living room fire. It's a fun and relaxing opportunity to enjoy casual conversation and make new friends. Many guests tell us the evening wine hour is a highlight of their stay!
Check In: 3:00 – 6:00 PM Please notify us in advance if you anticipate a later arrival. An earlier check-in may be available for an additional fee, but only by advance arrangement.
Check Out: by 11:00 AM
We welcome guests age 16 and older. Sorry, no pets.
Smoke-Free: The Thomson House is proud to offer a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms or indoor public areas, nor anywhere on our grounds where it might impact other guests or pose a fire hazard. We assess a $350 cleaning fee for violations of our no smoking policy.
Parking: For your worry-free safety and convenience the Thomson House provides lighted off-street parking behind the inn.
Directions: Drive north on Interstate 35 two miles beyond downtown Duluth and take the London Road exit. Stay in the right lane at the stoplight, cross London Road, and proceed seven blocks uphill on 26th Ave E. Turn right on E 3rd St and the Thomson House is on the left side at the end of the block. Come up the driveway, park in back between a pair of lights, and enter through the front door.

Deposits:
A 50% deposit (100% for a one night stay) is required at the time of your reservation. We accept Discover, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, personal or travelers checks, and U.S. currency. Rates and policies are based on double occupancy and are subject to change at any time.
Cancellations:
Due to the size of our Inn, cancellations greatly affect us therefore we strictly adhere to our cancellation policy. A full refund of your deposit (less a $50 cancellation fee per room/per night) will be offered for cancellations 14 or more days in advance of your scheduled stay. We regret we cannot offer any refund for cancellations less than 14 days prior to arrival.
Grandma's Marathon & Blues Fest policies:
A three night stay at the weekend rate is required for Grandma's Marathon and Blues Fest. Days can include either a Thursday or a Sunday. Gift certificates will not be accepted for these events.
Weekend Reservations:
A two night weekend stay includes a Friday and Saturday night. If your two night stay includes a Thursday & Friday, OR a Saturday & Sunday; you will be charged the full weekend rate for each night.
